The latter part of August and the Month of Sept was a busy month for Deputies. Prentiss County Deputies made four Felony Narcotics arrests as result of traffic stops or traffic related incidents.
On 08/30/2016 Deputies arrested Michael B Pounds 27 of Booneville after the report of a Motor vehicle accident. Deputies discovered Methamphetamine during their investigation. He was charged with felony Possession of Controlled Substance (Meth) and other Misdemeanor offenses. His bond was set at $5,000 on the Felony charges and $4,500 on the Misdemeanor Charges.
On Friday 09/09 Deputies made a traffic stop on CR 8360 which resulted in the arrest of Taylor Garrison 33 of Tupelo. She was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance (Meth) after Deputies discovered Methamphetamine in her possession. Her bond was set at $5,000 on the Felony Drug Charge and $2,000 on related other misdemeanor charges.
On Saturday 09/24 Deputies Taylor Walker, Aaron Stolz, Dennis Peeks and Wesley Graves were conducting a Roadside Safety Checkpoint and arrested Justin Colt Bingham 34 of Booneville. He was charged with numerous misdemeanor traffic and drug offenses as well as Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) enhanced while in Possession of a Firearm. His bond was et at $10,000 on the Felony Drug Charge and $4,000 on the misdemeanor charges.
On Monday 09/26/2016 Prentiss County Deputy Aaron Stolz made a traffic stop on HWY 4 West that resulted in the arrest of the Driver, Matthew R Smith 23 of Ripley on multiple Misdemeanor Traffic Offenses and Felony Possession of Controlled Subsstance (Methamphetamine). Smith's Bond was set at $2,500 on the Felony and $1,000 misdemeanor traffic offenses. Two other passengers in the vehicle had active misdemeanor warrants and were arrested on those warrants
