

On Monday June 27th Prentiss County Narcotics Investigator Joey Clark culminated an investigation involving two Individuals alledgely Conspiring to Smuggle Drugs and Contraband into the Prentiss County Jail, with the Arrests of Megan Danielle Henley 26 and Michael Clayton Martin 37 both of Booneville. The Investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at the residence of the Suspects and discovery of several grams of Methamphetamine and other evidence. Henley was incarcerated at the time of the initial incident and remains in custody for outstanding charges from the City of Booneville and a Hold for the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Henley and Martin are charged with Conspiracy to Introduce Contraband/Controlled Substance in to a Jail. Their bond on that charge was set at $5,000. Martin was also charged with Possession with the Intent to Sell, Transfer or Deliver a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine). His bond was set at $5,000 on that charge. Martin was released on the 28th on Bond. These arrests are two of several arrests that have been made in recent months involving Drugs or other Contraband being introduced into our Jail.
