On Thursday night Sept. 11th, Prentiss County Deputy Pam Stevens graduated the Part Time Law Enforcement Certification Course held at the Tupelo Police Training Academy. The Graduation ceremony was held at the Link Center in Tupelo. Pam is currently a Corrections Officer at the Prentiss County Jail. With the completion of her most recent training, she is now considered a Deputy Sheriff as well and has actual Law Enforcement powers and is authorized to perform a wider range of duties. "I'm confident that she will be a valuable asset to our department." Deputy Stevens completed approx. 200 hours of training, including Firearms, Driving, Ms Law, Ethics, Self Defense and all other required ares of training.
