The investigation division of the Prentiss County Sheriff's Office is comprised of two full time Criminal Investigators Torie Jumper and Jason Chism and one part time Criminal Investigator Aaron Stolz. These investigators are experienced in investigating a wide variety of crimes. These investigators have specialized training such as crime scene, interview and interrogation, analysis of cellular telephone records and data along with interpreting cell tower site information. We are committed to providing the most up to date handling of any crime scene investigation.
Most recently Attorney General Inv. Brian Taylor has been assigned to work with a specialized task force working out of the Attorney General's Office regarding Internet Crimes Against Children. This Task Force has been very successful investigating cases of Possession, production and dissemination of Child Pornography. across the State.
Our investigations of felony property crimes has led to the recovery of 100's of thousands of dollars in stolen property.
Criminal investigator Jason Chism was laterally transferred from the patrol division. Congratulations to Investigator Jason Chism and we look forward to a very productive career in Investigations with the Prentiss County Sheriff's Office.
Chief Criminal Investigator Torie Jumper leads our Investigative Team. Jumper is a 2017 graduate of Mississippi's Criminal Investigators Certification Course that was held at the North Mississippi Law Enforcement Training Academy. This was a (7) Seven Week Course that was held over a seven month period,(one week a month) Her completion of the course recognized her as Certified Criminal Investigators. She has over Twenty years experience in Law Enforcement.

The end of September ended a 17 year long career for Investigator Roy Ragin with the Prentiss County Sheriff's Office. He left, taking a position with the Baldwyn Police Department. Roy will be sorely missed, but will hopefully continue to work with our Department in his capacity in Baldwyn and as well as a Reserve Officer.
