On Thursday morning 07/21/2011 a several month long multiagency Narcotics Investigation resulted in the arrest of five individuals and the breaking up of  a Hub of Distribution of a large Scale Marijuana distribution Ring.   Prentiss County Deputies and Narcotics Investigators executed a search warrant at the residence and shop of Jimmy Wade Lauderdale at 343 CR 8021 Rienzi just north of Booneville.  Authorities seized roughly 400-430 lbs of Marijuana along with numerous vehicles and other assets and a sizeable amount of currency as a result of freezing several bank accounts.  These arrests disrupted a multistate distribution ring.  The Prentiss County Offender appears to be the hub.  When the Officers entered the building four of the Individuals allegedly were in the process of breaking down the larger packages of Marijuana into smaller sized packaging and preparing to load into vehicles.  Arrested were Jimmy Wade Lauderdale age 74 of 343 CR 8021 Rienzi bond $750,000, Kevin Douglas Cole age 60 of Lot 45 Moose Lodge RV Center Evart Michigan bond $500,000, David Harold Culter 68 of 2266 Birch Drive Sears Michigan bond $500,000, Harry R Lewis age 71 of Hiram Georgia bond $500,000 and Jose Gonzales of 7037 I55N Marion Arkansas No bond at this time.  Gonzales was arrested on a traffic stop in Corinth after having allegedly delivered the Marijuana to Lauderdales premises prior to our search.  All have been charged with Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute   This is the largest seizure of Marijuana in Prentiss County History.  We are very appreciative of the Alcorn County Sheriff's Office and the Cooperation we have had with them.  The exchange of information between agencies is vital to successful investigations and here we see the results.  Agencies assisting in this case were the Alcorn County SO, Corinth PD, Booneville Narcotics and North MS Narcotics.  We have devoted many hours of intelligence gathering and surveillance in this case that probably would not have been possible with out the assistance of these other agencies, along with the patience and persistence of our Narcotic Officer Joey Clark, he deserve much of the credit for his work.
