"Crystal Methamphetamine continues to be a big problem everywhere but the Prescription Sudafed law several years ago dramatically reduced the numbers of cases of "home made" or "shake and bake" labs. I don't know of any other counter measure that has effected the drug trade and had such a huge impact. Mississippi should be proud of stepping up and putting this Legislation into place. Mississippi was only the second state in the United States to pass such Legislation." "Sudafed/enphedrine are chemicals absolutely required to manufacture Methamphetamine, without these chemicals being readily available, it made our jobs a whole lot easier."
Pannell was under supervision of the Mississipppi Department of Corrections at the Time of his arrest and a hold has been placed on him by MDOC.
