On Thursday November 23, 2017 around 8:52P.M. Deputy Taylor Walker observed a newer model Chevrolet Tahoe sitting on the side of Hwy 30 West near CR 6011 with its emergency flashers on. Deputy Walker stopped to see if he could assist the occupants and noticed they had a Barnes Crossing tag displayed on the back of the vehicle. Deputy Walker then checked the VIN number on the vehicle which came back stolen from the Barnes Crossing dealership in New Albany. The vehicle was then returned to the owner. The driver Shavorra Osborn was wanted by the Mississippi Department of Corrections and the passenger Nyairreo Friar had a felony warrant for Alcorn County Sheriff’s Department ent. Both subjects were transported to the Prentiss County Jail and holds placed on them for other agencies. Deputy Tyler Reese assisted in the case.
