Deputies Make Felony Arrests
On Tuesday May 7th Joshua Ray Null, 32 of Booneville was arrested after he turned himself into the Prentiss County Sheriff's Office.  Null has been charged with Burglary and False Pretense.  His bond was set at $20,000 on County charges.  Null also faces charges in Booneville.
 
On Weds May 8th, Prentiss County Deputies Brandon Slack, Taylor Walker and Tyler Reese arrested Jason Lee Kennedy, 40 of Booneville after he pulled into the driveway of a residence in an apparent effort to avoid Officers that had knowledge of his Suspended Drivers License status.  Once the Officers confronted Kennedy and arrested him, they discovered that he had Methamphetamine in his possession.  Kennedy was charged with Felony Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), No Insurance, Trespassing and Suspended Drivers License.  His bond was set at $10,000 on the Felony and $2,000 on the misdemeanor charges.  narcotics investigator Grady Smith and North Mississippi Narcotics Unit are handling the case and will present the case to the next Prentiss County Grand Jury.
 
On Weds May 8th, Prentiss County Deputies Taylor Walker and Tyler Reese were patrolling and observed an individual, that had an outstanding warrant, standing in the driveway of his residence.  When Deputies placed the individual under arrest, they discovered that he possessed Methamphetamine in his pants pocket.  Deputies also discovered batteries that he admitted he had stolen.  Russell Ray Hutcheson, 38 of Booneville was charged with Felony Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) and Petit Larceny.  Hutcheson was also surrendered on previous Felony and Misdemeanor bonds from an incident earlier in the year.  Hutcheson's bond has not been set at this time on the new felony charge and is awaiting his initial appearance.   His previous bonds totaled $8,000.  The felony drug case is being handled by Prentiss County Narcotics Officer Grady Smith and North Mississippi Narcotics Unit and will be presented to the next Prentiss County Grand Jury
