End of 2019 Narcotics Arrests

Deputies with the Prentiss County Sheriff's Department have made several recent Felony Narcotics Arrests.

 
On Friday 11/29 around 10:30am Deputies responded to the call of a Family Disturbance on CR 7150 Booneville.  Deputy Taylor Walker responded to the scene and during his investigation of the incident discovered that one of the subjects involved in the incident was in Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine).  Chelsea Alyse South 32 of Booneville was arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Family Disturbance and Possession of Paraphernalia.  South's bonds totaled $7,000 on all charges. 
 
On Monday 12/02 around 9:20 pm The Prentiss County Sheriff's Office received the report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of CR 1231.  Deputy Gunter Brumley responded to the area and located a truck matching the description from the report.  Deputy Brumley made contact with the Driver and during the course of his investigation found the driver to be in possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine).  Michael Clay McCoy 28 of Booneville was arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  McCoy's bonds were set at $6,000. 
 
On Tuesday morning 12/03 Deputy Dennis Peeks responded to the report of a Automobile crash/Roll Over on CR 7200.  Peeks investigation of the wreck determined that the Driver had left the scene.  Deputy Aaron Stolz assisted with the investigation and located the driver at another location and took him into custody.  The investigation revealed that the driver, Jamie Willis 48 of Booneville was in Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) at the time of the wreck.  Willis was arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Willful Trespass, No Insurance and Suspended Drivers License.  His bonds were set at $22,500.  Willis remains in custody with a hold for the Mississippi Department of Corrections.  The Mississippi Highway Patrol also assisted with the case.
 
On Friday evening 12/ 13 Prentiss County Deputies Gary Garrett and Dallas Lumpkin were serving an arrest warrant at a residence on CR 7301.  The wanted person was found to have a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) in his possession during a search of his person.  Gordon Kyle Sims, 37 of Booneville was charged with Felony Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Family Disturbance and Stalking.  Sims bonds were set at $12,000.
 
 
 
Narcotics Investigator Grady Smith and North Mississippi Narcotics Unit are working the Felony cases and will present them to the next Prentiss County Grand Jury.
