

Last Friday !2/14/2012 Prentiss County Investigators Derrick Hester and Roy Ragin apprehended two individuals that were wanted for Parental Kidnapping in Union County. The arrest took place when Investigators spotted the pair driving a stolen White GMC Yukon. near SMC Scrap yard and finally stopped them near Dixie Gas in Booneville. The pair offered no resistance. There were three children accompanying the adults, the youngest being 5 years old. The Union County Sheriff and Investigators responded to the scene and took the pair into custody. The three children were released to the custody of the Grand Parents.
We became involved with the case when authorities from Union County contacted the Prentiss County Sheriff's Office and informed us the previous day that the individuals were possible in Prentiss County.
The individuals were people we had actually dealt with several times in past years. James Lamar Hamilton 43 and Kimberly 27 were charged with three counts of Parental Kidnapping from Union County. James Hamilton was also wanted out of Lowndes County for Embezzlement and Passing a Forged Instrument. While Kimberly was also charged with Fraud Insuffient Funds/Check out of Union County. The pair of investigations were actually working on another case when they spotted the stolen Yukon,
